We Thought We Were Invincible By Michelle Lynn!!!

I hope everyone had a great holiday, and hopefully you have something fun planned for the new year! :)  We will probably spend it at home, hanging out and planning for our trip on Jan 2nd! :)) This read is amazing and important. Full of love, pain, and growth. A must read!

We Thought We Were Invincible by Michelle Lynn

California “Callie” McCoy feels most alive when her feet are planted firmly on her surfboard on a big swell. And one day, she dreams of riding that wave out of her small town. Away from everyone.

Her plan is simple: graduate high school. With Callie's best friend gone away to college, she plans on spending her senior year skating by. She isn’t looking for friends, and especially not for love - all she needs are her waves and her twin brother. Even if he comes with an annoying best friend, Jamie Daniels, who she can’t stand.

Jamie is a care-free, easy-going surfer who has everything. On the surface, his life appears perfect, but reality is far from it. He has his share of secrets, including one that burns deeper than any other. It’s a good thing Callie hates him because if she didn’t, Jamie knows there’s no way he’d be able to stay away.

And then, one night, everything changes. And nothing will ever be the same.

Review:

I loved every part of this book. The high school experiences Callie goes through are extremely relatable. Great romances. Tough twists that are hard but also real. I won't spoil any of those because they're needed just the way they are. I love the surfing because it shows a place that Callie goes to feel more like herself, and I believe we all have a place like that. A place that makes you feel safe. I love the end of the year decisions each character goes through and the end of the story because it just leaves me wanting more. I enjoyed it completely. Through and through. must read.

Emma reviews: IT ENDS WITH US by Colleen Hoover

IT ENDS WITH US by Colleen Hoover The newest, highly anticipated novel from beloved #1  New York Times  bestselling author, Colleen Hoover. Sometimes it is the one who loves you who hurts you the most. Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true. Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder wh...

Detective Kate Covington Series By Billie Reece

A Lullaby In The Dark A Southern Crime Thriller Ten years ago, a child serial killer—dubbed the Lullaby Man—confessed to abducting and murdering four young girls. Now in a maximum-security psychiatric hospital in East Tennessee, he’s visited regularly by Kate Covington, the detective who put him there, who won’t close the investigation until the remains of the first victim are found. Then a little girl goes missing while hiking in the woods with her dad, and Kate is called in to help. The evidence is chillingly familiar—the same photo of the girl’s tear-stained face, a letter with the same message, a smiley face, an old doll. Did they lock up the wrong guy? Is it a copycat crime? Or is something more sinister at play? Each turn of the investigation brings more questions than answers, and Kate and her team have limited time to figure out who kidnapped the girl. Is the real Lullaby Man about to claim his next victim? Review:   A great story of the trial of human nature. Fi...
