Three Dark Crowns Series by Kendare Blake!!!

Review:  I'm going to review all of these together because well...I read them all back to back and loved each one. It's also been a minute since I binged them. BUT these were amazing and I'm so glad I finally pulled the first one off my shelf, quickly realizing that I was going to need the rest of the series and immediately ordered the set to my house. These are a bit darker, but that just adds to the intrigue. The darkness pulls you in, begging you to unlock all of the dirty secrets hidden within. From the first synopsis you know the last queen gets the crown. But, Kendare Blake puts you into the lives of each sister. Letting you get to know them, their friends, their personalities. It's hard to root for one queen knowing the others would have to die. It would be easy if you could just hate them all from page one or possibly have one you love the most, but she goes and gets you attached to all of them with her amazing writing. I didn't want the story to end. There ...

Single Dad Seeks Juliet! Oh My!!!

Single Dad Seeks Juliet By Max Monroe Dear Internet: Am I a horrible person for wanting to sabotage my work assignment—completely wreck a dating contest—because I hate the idea of love? I know it sounds bad, but just hear me out, okay? I (33F) work at a local paper, and two months ago, my editor assigned me a  huge  project—run the upcoming, highly anticipated  Bachelor Anonymous  contest. In essence, I’m supposed to help a reader-nominated bachelor find his special someone, and while I should be excited to handle something of this magnitude solo, I can’t help but get queasy over how gross it feels. Like, how cheesy could this thing get? Not to mention, I’m the last person who should be involved in this—my dating and relationship history is a cluster. Generally, the person in charge of these things shouldn’t fantasize about lighting the whole three-ring dating circus on fire. Anyway, men from all over Southern California, vying for the coveted bachelor role, submitte...

All Souls Trilogy By Deborah Harkness!

Let's just start off by saying watching season one of the TV show brought me to finally reading it and thank goodness I did! I devoured the entire series after that. There was no stopping. These characters make you fly through the pages and demand you don't stop until the very end. There was never a dull moment, and I cannot wait for the rest of the series to air and see this story unfold. (I've already re-watched season one after finishing the books because I wanted to go back to this amazing story! Obsessed. Will definitely be my go to re-watch show!) Now that I've boasted here are the abouts of all three :) If you like spoilers read all three, if not then just grab the links to buy and purchase them all! :) Enjoy! A Discovery of Witches A richly inventive novel about a centuries-old vampire, a spellbound witch, and the mysterious manuscript that draws them together.  Deep in the stacks of Oxford's Bodleian Library, young scholar Diana Bishop unwittingly calls up...

Detective Kate Covington Series By Billie Reece

A Lullaby In The Dark A Southern Crime Thriller Ten years ago, a child serial killer—dubbed the Lullaby Man—confessed to abducting and murdering four young girls. Now in a maximum-security psychiatric hospital in East Tennessee, he’s visited regularly by Kate Covington, the detective who put him there, who won’t close the investigation until the remains of the first victim are found. Then a little girl goes missing while hiking in the woods with her dad, and Kate is called in to help. The evidence is chillingly familiar—the same photo of the girl’s tear-stained face, a letter with the same message, a smiley face, an old doll. Did they lock up the wrong guy? Is it a copycat crime? Or is something more sinister at play? Each turn of the investigation brings more questions than answers, and Kate and her team have limited time to figure out who kidnapped the girl. Is the real Lullaby Man about to claim his next victim? Review:   A great story of the trial of human nature. Fi...

Piper Investigations Series By Shannon Greenland!

Piper Investigations Series!  The Case of the Bad Twin by Shannon Greenland Through a series of ridiculous events, thirteen-year-old Penny-Ann Piper has come to live on Piper Island with her quirky Aunt Grace. Although Penny’s new to the eccentric and salty Florida town, she’s proud of her connection to it. After all, her grandparents founded the oddball place where everyone makes it their business to know your business. They’re nosy that way. So when someone steals the time capsule Penny-Ann created chronicling the island’s history, she’s determined to get it back. Principal Berger and Officer Crawl think it’s a prank, but who could have taken it, and why? Penny-Ann’s on-again-off-again best friend Josie? Rocco Garcia, the annoying (but also cute) surfer boy? Twin MMA fighters who think muscles should get them a credit in math? With the help of her new friend, Diamond, who may or may not be part of the X-Men, Penny-Ann revives Piper Investigations, her grandparents’ de...

Say You're Sorry By Karen Rose!

Say You're Sorry by Karen Rose Introducing the first novel in the pulse-pounding Sacramento series from  New York Times  bestselling author Karen Rose. There is a serial killer on the loose, preying on vulnerable women. The only identifiable mark the killer leaves are letters—sometimes one, sometimes two—all carved into the torsos of his victims. Together they spell “Sydney.” When he grabs Daisy Dawson, he believes he has found his next victim. But despite her small stature, she fights back with an expertise that quickly frees her. Before fleeing the scene, Daisy also manages to grab what proves to be crucial evidence: a necklace from around the killer’s neck. The necklace is more than a trivial item—it is a link to a cold case that Special Agent Gideon Reynolds has been tracking for seventeen years. With Daisy’s help, Gideon finally has the opportunity to get closer to the truth than ever before. But they might not get the chance, as the serial killer has a new target: ...
