Taking Chances By Molly McAdams!!

Taking Chances by Molly McAdams

Her first year away is turning out to be nearly perfect, but one weekend of giving in to heated passion will change everything.

Eighteen-year-old Harper has grown up under the thumb of her career marine father. Ready to live life her own way and to experience things she's only ever heard of from the jarheads in her father's unit, she's on her way to college at San Diego State University.

Thanks to her new roommate, Harper is introduced to a world of parties, gorgeous guys, family, and emotions. She finds herself being torn in two as she quickly falls in love with both her new boyfriend, Brandon, and her roommate's brother, Chase. Despite their dangerous looks and histories, both men adore Harper and would do anything for her, including taking a step back if it would mean she'd be happy.

Review:

I felt like I was dying. Halfway through the book and my heart was ripped to shreds. I had to stop to sleep because every page after that, every moment just tore me apart even more.

I loved the characters from the beginning (some not so much, ya know.) I was team Chase from the start. I was mad through the first part, "Just freaking do what I want you to already!!" but obviously that's not how it works. Which is great because I love when a book puts you on your ass. And this one did. A Lot.

But dammit Molly McAdams, did you have to rip my soul out?!?!?! I know I know. I picked this book because it was on some post saying it'll make you bawl your eyes out. Well it succeeded. Truly.

It tore my heart out and ripped it to shreds then continued to beg for more, but alas I had no more to give.

I still cried through the last half of the book, but it was mostly happy tears. <3

I still highly recommend this book, but I would just add a disclaimer that you need a million boxes of tissues.

I told my husband, "It's not like The Fault In Our Stars where you bawl on the last tiny bit of the story. No. It's right in the middle where you still have so much more to cry through!" But it was amazing. Although I might have to watch an only funny/action movie, so I don't have a chance of crying anymore. I'm all cried out. <3

Emma reviews: IT ENDS WITH US by Colleen Hoover

IT ENDS WITH US by Colleen Hoover The newest, highly anticipated novel from beloved #1  New York Times  bestselling author, Colleen Hoover. Sometimes it is the one who loves you who hurts you the most. Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true. Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder wh...

Detective Kate Covington Series By Billie Reece

A Lullaby In The Dark A Southern Crime Thriller Ten years ago, a child serial killer—dubbed the Lullaby Man—confessed to abducting and murdering four young girls. Now in a maximum-security psychiatric hospital in East Tennessee, he’s visited regularly by Kate Covington, the detective who put him there, who won’t close the investigation until the remains of the first victim are found. Then a little girl goes missing while hiking in the woods with her dad, and Kate is called in to help. The evidence is chillingly familiar—the same photo of the girl’s tear-stained face, a letter with the same message, a smiley face, an old doll. Did they lock up the wrong guy? Is it a copycat crime? Or is something more sinister at play? Each turn of the investigation brings more questions than answers, and Kate and her team have limited time to figure out who kidnapped the girl. Is the real Lullaby Man about to claim his next victim? Review:   A great story of the trial of human nature. Fi...
