Science Fiction and Fantasy!!!

Hey Guys!!

We got a request for Science Fiction! Which is great because we have been super busy with work and school, we needed something to talk about!! Take a look at these awesome titles! There's a lot, but they're all different, so there's something for everyone!! Enjoy!!

Gone by Michael Grant

In the blink of an eye, everyone disappears. Gone. Except for the young.

There are teens, but not one single adult. Just as suddenly, there are no phones, no internet, no television. No way to get help. And no way to figure out what's happened.

Hunger threatens. Bullies rule. A sinister creature lurks. Animals are mutating. And the teens themselves are changing, developing new talents—unimaginable, dangerous, deadly powers—that grow stronger by the day. It's a terrifying new world. Sides are being chosen, a fight is shaping up. Townies against rich kids. Bullies against the weak. Powerful against powerless. And time is running out: On your 15th birthday, you disappear just like everyone else...

Audience: 13+

Review:
This book is great, but it's also pretty dark. Find out what happens when all the adults disappear. Homes that only had babies and no older sibling to watch over them. It's a fight for survival, or at least until you're 15.

Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow
In Strange Angels, Dru Anderson has what her grandmother called “the touch.” (Comes in handy when you’re traveling from town to town with your dad, hunting ghosts, suckers, wulfen, and the occasional zombie.) Then her dad turns up dead—but still walking—and Dru knows she’s next. Even worse, she’s got two guys hungry for her affections, and they’re not about to let the fiercely independent Dru go it alone. Will Dru discover just how special she really is before coming face-to-fang with whatever—or whoever— is hunting her?

Audience: 13+

Review:
If you want a book that grabs you within the first couple pages this is it! The way she describes everything in this books make you smell the stench of what she's hunting, see the unfathomable laid out before you, and feel everything that is going on in Dru's crazy world. Definitely one of my favorites, and I wish the series never ended! There are plenty to explore though!!

Asylum by Madeleine Roux
Asylum is a thrilling and creepy photo-novel perfect for fans of the New York Times bestseller Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.

An outcast at his high school, Dan is excited to finally make some friends in his last summer before college. But when he arrives at the program, Dan learns that his dorm for the summer used to be a sanatorium, more commonly known as an asylum. And not just any asylum—a last resort for the criminally insane.

As Dan and his new friends, Abby and Jordan, explore the hidden recesses of their creepy summer home, they soon discover it's no coincidence that the three of them ended up here. Because the asylum holds the key to a terrifying past. And there are some secrets that refuse to stay buried.

Then, someone stole the Bowl of Tears, a magical artifact that can be used to bring about the second Chaos War. You know, death, destruction and lots of other bad, bad things. Freaky stuff like this goes on all the time at Mythos, but I'm determined to find out who killed Jasmine and why; especially since I should have been the one who died...

Review:
Jill Kismet is a badass!! I love these books! These will give a break from the love story, it's in there, it's just not front and center. Her kicking demon butt and taking a few hits herself, add a little (maybe a lot) slop and gore. There's also a bit of mystery in there too. Find out how Jill became the way she is!!

Now Cami is turning sixteen. She’s no longer mute, though she keeps her faded scars hidden under her school uniform, and though she opens up only to her two best friends, Ruby and Ellie, and to Nico, who has become more than a brother to her.
