Hey Guys!

I want to start out by saying how thankful I am to have been able to get an advanced copy of this amazing book! I love Shannon Greenland's writing so much! From discovering my dark side in Killer Instinct, fighting for family in Vanquished, and learning to conquer fear in Shadow Of A Girl, I will forever be a fan of hers! <3 Her writing is always amazing from character development to relationships and the conflicts in-between.

Use cash and keep moving.

After I ran away from home, these were the two rules that dictated my life. Scoring a job as a roadie fit perfectly for what I needed. Traveling, cash, and life out of the spotlight. But when my path collides with West, the lead singer of Bus Stop, I can’t seem to stay out of his spotlight—especially since we’ll be touring together for an entire year.

West is determined to break down my walls. He won’t give up. And little by little they come crumbling. But if he knew what lurked behind them, he wouldn’t be so eager to get rid of them.

The more time we spend together, the more the lines of our friendship become blurred. He makes me dream of things I never thought possible. But while our friendship has been evolving into a romance, my secrets have been closing in. And just when I’ve decided to reveal my past to West, I’m confronted by it. The cost of my freedom could ruin the life of the guy I love…

Review (Kelsey):
From the first chapter of this intense YA thriller I was hooked. The beginning gives you a Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks feel, but you can tell it's going to more sinister as you go on. AND it does! This book is amazing in the way that it pulls your heart along, rips it open, then molds it back together throughout the entire book! This is a book about abuse, fear, and how to not let fear rule over your life. Whether you've been through something traumatic, know someone who has, or none-of-the-above, this book will appeal to you. Fear is a real aspect that everyone can relate to, and these characters will latch onto you and not let go. Eve is a ball of fire waiting to break free, West is a hot rockstar that will make you swoon, and her close friends make you wish you had people like that in your life<3 It was definitely one of my favorites, and I know what a lot of my family/friends will be getting for Christmas! This book is amazing, terrifying, lovely, and bold all wrapped up in one beautifully covered book<3 Can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Review (Emma):
When Kelsey told me about this author I was intrigued.  We all know by now that I like to ready happy books, so things that lean toward the dark make me nervous.  I'm so glad I've taken the plunge because this book brings out all the feels, and sheds some MUCH needed light on abuse and its consequences.  What I loved about this book the most though, was that while the main character is clearly affected by her past, she is able to grow, and learn to trust the people around her.  SHADOW OF A GIRL is an incredible story of resilience, strength, and grit in a world where the lead characters past could have completely consumed her.  My only wish is that we could have lived in the freedom the lead character experiences towards the end just a little longer.  This book was a beautiful love story, but an even better story of strength despite intense struggle.

"I ate them like salad..." Our love for books, regardless of their content.

Happy Banned Books Week readers! Usually, I don't think too much about banned books.  I have such a deep love for the written word that it never occurs to me that someone, somewhere could possibly take offense to the beautiful words these brilliant minds have shared with us.  The theme of this week however has forced me to stop for a second and think, "Where would I be without my books y'all?!" Emma and some of her favorite banned books :) One of my all time favorite books, FAHRENHEIT 451 by Ray Bradbury is not only a banned book, but it is also an insightful and deep commentary on censorship (how's that for irony eh?).  I was "fortunate" enough to read this book in high school.  I say "fortunate" because I know in my heart how blessed I was to study literature in school, however I struggled with the forced nature of reading created by needing to prove I had learned something from the material.  By the time I got to my Senior year when ...

All Souls Trilogy By Deborah Harkness!

Let's just start off by saying watching season one of the TV show brought me to finally reading it and thank goodness I did! I devoured the entire series after that. There was no stopping. These characters make you fly through the pages and demand you don't stop until the very end. There was never a dull moment, and I cannot wait for the rest of the series to air and see this story unfold. (I've already re-watched season one after finishing the books because I wanted to go back to this amazing story! Obsessed. Will definitely be my go to re-watch show!) Now that I've boasted here are the abouts of all three :) If you like spoilers read all three, if not then just grab the links to buy and purchase them all! :) Enjoy! A Discovery of Witches A richly inventive novel about a centuries-old vampire, a spellbound witch, and the mysterious manuscript that draws them together.  Deep in the stacks of Oxford's Bodleian Library, young scholar Diana Bishop unwittingly calls up...

Muffin Top By Avery Flynn!!!!!

"Smart, sassy, and utterly delightful! Get ready to fall head-over-heels in love with Lucy, one of the wittiest and most inspiring heroines I've ever met!" - Annika Martin New York Times bestselling author Muffin Top, a hot romantic comedy from USA Today bestselling author Avery Flynn is available now! The only thing about me that's a size zero is the filter on my mouth. I've got a big personality, a big rack, and a big number on the scale. And I'm perfectly fine with that. But when some random guy suggests I might not be eating alone if I'd ordered a salad instead of a hamburger I'm shocked silent, which is a feat, trust me. That brings us to one sexy fireman named Frankie Hartigan. He's hot. He's funny… And he's just apologized for being late for our "date" then glared at the fat-shaming jerk. Next thing I know, he's sitting down and ordering himself dinner. I have no problem telling him I don't need ...
